Delirious
Delirious is a 1991 comedy film starring John Candy as Jack Gable, a head writer for a successful soap opera, and he’s got a crush of the soap star, Laura. Everyone but Jack knows she’s playing him for a fool. He goes to Ashford Falls, site of his soap opera and bumps his head, and wakes up to find that his typewriter has no ribbon, but types. Even more strange is that everything he types comes true. It’s a whirlwind of comical complications with an amazing cast, which includes Raymond Burr, David Rasche, and Emma Samms. The films budget was $18,000,000, and pulled in a gross of $5,546,827. Directed by Tom Mankiewicz, who also wrote James Bond favorites “The Man With The Golden Gun” and “Live And Let Die”. John Candy is comical, but this film does not do his genius justice.
