Find the Lady
Find the Lady, released in 1976, directed by John Trent, had a budget of $CAD895,000. Starring Lawrence Dane (Broom) and John Candy (Kopek) as officers assigned to a kidnapping case of the daughter of a wealthy businessman. Who don’t realize that the kidnapping was meant as a fake. And a way for the girl’s father to get ransom money to pay off his gambling debts. The hired Mafia guys hired to kidnap the daughter, end up with the wrong girl. Which in turn ends up actually being kidnapped by someone else. Then to complicate matters worse, a third party gets involved by claiming to have kidnapped her. Even with the the many complications that transpire, it ends with success finding the lady.
