JFK was released in 1991 and was directed by Oliver Stone. With a budget of $40,000,000 it grossed $205,400,000 worldwide. It lead an all star cast which included Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Gary Oldman, Laurie Metcalf, Joe Pesci, Kevin Bacon, John Candy, Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, Ed Asner, Donald Sutherland and Sissy Spacek. John Candy’s role was of Dean Andrews Jr. Dean Andrews Jr. was an attorney in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was questioned by Jim Garrison in regards to his Warren Commission testimony. The story begins as news footage is shown warning about the military-industrial complex. The story follows the reconstruction of John F. Kennedy’s presidential years to his assassination. Finding errors in the Warren Report, an investigation is started. Winding around the conspiring of Oswald’s fall. Then the trial of Clay Shaw, which proved the dismissal of the single bullet theory. The records that prove the assassination are due to be released for the public by 2017.
