Follow that Bird
Follow that Bird was released in 1985 and was directed by Ken Kwapis. The film grossed $13,961,370. With cameo appearances by Sandra Bernhard (Grouch Waitress), Chevy Chase (Newscaster), John Candy (State Trooper) and Waylon Jennings (Turkey Truck Driver). The special begins when Big Bird goes with Ms. Finch to go live with a family of dodo birds. Big Bird is not happy there and becomes quite homesick so he runs away. He gets mixed up in several adventures on his way home. He gets a ride with Waylon Jennings, and decides to stay with him on the farm for a little while. He gets kidnapped by the Sleaze Brothers and then eventually he is saved and goes back to Ms. Finch who places him in his new home on Sesame Street.
