She’s Having a Baby
She’s Having a Baby released in 1988 and was written and directed by John Hughes. The film grossed $16,031,707 nationally. Starring Kevin Bacon (Jefferson Edward Briggs) and Elizabeth McGovern (Kristen Briggs). Other actors with uncredited roles were Dan Akroyd (Roman), Matthew Broderick (Ferris Bueller), John Candy (Chet) and as themselves Dyan Cannon, Belinda Carlisle, Stewart Copeland and Ten Danson. The story begins with Jack and Kristy Briggs as newlyweds. Being young and naive, they are perhaps a bit unprepared for the full reality of marriage and all that is expected of them. Their parents certainly want them to be prepared especially since there’s a new baby on the way. Is married life all that there is? Things don’t get any better with the help of Jake’s friend Davis, who always seems to turn up just in time to put make things worse.
