Spaceballs
Spaceballs is a 1987 film about a couple of space bums, Lone Starr (Bill Pullman) and his half-man, half-dog co-pilot, Barf the Mawg (John Candy). They set out in their Winnebago Space ship to help rescue a princess from an evil overlord. These unlikely heroes would rather be just cruising the galaxy living the easy life. With the lure of 1 million space bucks, they come to the rescue when Druish Princess Vespa (Daphne Zuniga)is threatened by the evil Lord Dark Helmet (Rick Moranis), who wants to steal all of the air from her planet, Druida. It has a long list of excellent additions to the cast. It is wonderfully directed by Mel Brooks. This film grossed $38,119,483 and had a budget of $22,700,000. Spaceballs spoofs the original Star Wars, Star Trek, Snow White, and Planet of the Apes.
