Stripes
Stripes opened in 1981 and was directed by Ivan Reitman. The movie grossed over $85,000,000, and had a budget of $10,000,000. The film had an all star cast including Bill Murray (John Winger), John Candy (Dewed “Ox” Oxberger, Warren Oats (Sgt. Hulka), and Harold Ramis (Russell Ziskey). Other noted actors featured were Bill Paxton, Dave Thomas, Judge Reinhold, Sean Young and John Larroquette. The story begins as a lazy cab driver (Bill Murray) has the worst day of his life. First, he loses his job, his own personal car, his girl friend, and his apartment. Not only does he decide to join the Army, but he talks his best friend in joining as well. With high hopes they arrive at Fort Arnold. Soon after arrival there, troubles begin they mess up in front of the drill sergeant. Through out the movie, they experience getting injured, meeting some girls and become heroes and eventually open a restaurant.
